The Good Food Raffle for The Stop Community Food Center

Needless to say, It’s been an overwhelming year so far. Back in April, now feeling like a lifetime ago we, we put together a little fundraiser called the The Good Food Raffle. Things have been pretty busy for us since then but we thought we’d give you a recap for those that donated and those that didn’t know about the project.

As the reality of the pandemic set in we knew, more than ever, that food security would be a growing concern for too many Torontonians. Those that were already struggling felt the added pressure and insecurity that COVID-19 put on them. We saw food banks and food programs across the city trying to keep up with increasing demand that continues to be unmanageable and underfunded. We had to do something and with the help of generous partners and friends through prize donations and raffle ticket sales, we were able to raise over $5000 for The Stop Community Food Centre. Their shift towards emergency food access services throughout COVID-19 continues to help many who don’t have access to healthy food. Thank you to all that did their part!

Check back next month, as we prepare for another round of The Good Food Raffle, in support of Black Creek Community Farm. If you missed our first raffle this is your chance to be a part of something awesome.
