Colnago Mexico Gold

This Colnago Mexico came in with one of our good customers. We’ve done a good number of bikes for him over the years but this is something pretty special. It had been Gold plated and came straight to the VéloColour shop for finishing.

We carefully cleaned and masked the Gold and went to work. We’ve done plenty of Saronni Red Colnagos but never with Gold and never with a matching Silca frame pump.

Perfectly measured and painted white panels are the starting point for the fine decal banding which are to follow. The decals don’t give a lot of room so close attention must be paid. Additional work painting and perfectly matching the pump graphics kept us on our toes on this one. This Colnago will no doubt turn a few heads traveling at speed in the peleton.
