Mixed Material Independent Fabrications

This bonded carbon/titanium frameset came to us a little beat up. It was well used and the coated carbon had lots of little chips and nail polish touch-ups.

We painstakingly hand sanded it down to raw carbon and media blasted the titanium for proper paint preparation. The tubes got a candy red clear coat to show off the carbon weave while we painted the titanium in a reddish-orange which paired nicely with the tinted carbon. Mixed material frames are usually extra work as the varied substrates require different types of preparation.
